Unity Accomplishes Center of Excellence Status
It’s been a two-year journey for Unity Health and Rehabilitation in Miami, FL. It’s a journey that has seen the Unity wound team grow stronger and stronger, culminating with them achieving the Vohra Center of Excellence for Wound Management certification.
Unity threw a party to celebrate its Center of Excellence accomplishment Friday, inviting the whole staff to take part in the celebration.
Unity Director of Nursing Mytchell Chancy says, “This is a very, very big accomplishment. I can tell you that I have the best of the best wound care team. This wound care certification is really an accomplishment.”
Unity is a Greystone Health Network facility. Greystone Regional Director of Clinical Operations Amina Dubuisson has seen the effort the facility has placed on its wound care and wound prevention program. “I’m super excited to be at Unity today to cheer this team and congratulate them for receiving the Vohra Wound Care Center of Excellence certificate,” says Dubuisson. “They have been working very, very, very hard in order for them to achieve this milestone to get the certification. I am so proud to be a part of their team. Go Unity!”
Chancy understands it is truly a team effort to get the best results. “We are so happy to have the certification and it makes us so proud,” Chancy says. “We’ve worked very hard for the past two years, accomplishing that task. We are a very large facility, but I can tell you that our wound care program is the best in the region. So, I want to congratulate Unity for a job well done.”
