Before I joined Vohra I was working long hours every week. I worked weekends, holidays, and took call. I barely knew my two daughters. I was miserable and burned out. The decision to change careers and leave surgery behind was a difficult one but it has proven to have been the best decision I could have ever made. Now I work 4 days a week 6-8 hours a day. I have no call, no weekends, and there are no emergencies. I have time to spend with my family and have begun taking up my old hobbies. 3 months after I started working for Vohra my youngest daughter said “Dad, I feel like I know you now.” This confirmed for me that I made the best decision for me and my family.

I am a General and Minimally Invasive surgeon and practiced surgery for 4 years prior to joining Vohra physician group. Joining Vohra was probably one of the best career decisions that I have made in recent years. This has made it possible to have a fulfilling career while having a well rounded life outside of work. I had known my girlfriend at the time for over 5 years, within 6 months of joining Vohra I was engaged, married within a year and now have a beautiful 2 year old. Working in my current capacity has given me the opportunity to spend more time with my family, connect better with my friends and engage in more activities outside of work. No overnight and weekend calls have made it possible for me to focus on my physical and mental health in ways that were simply impossible in my old job. I have had the chance to consistently complete a book every three to four weeks on any subject I wanted. This is one example of many new habits that I have been able to incorporate into my life that have transformed me profoundly and I am very pleased with my decision to join the Vohra family.
