The Brentwood is Now Vohra Certified

The Brentwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Danvers, MA has been certified as a Vohra Center of Excellence for Wound Management. Vohra Physician Dr. Andrew DiLernia has been treating The Brentwood’s residents with wound and skin issues since 2013. It’s that type of clinician continuity that helps bring optimal wound healing outcomes to their patients.

To qualify for the certification, the facility must have achieved a less than one percent wound-related hospitalization rate, have a Vohra Wound Certified Nurse and have a Vohra physician-led program. The Brentwood meets all of these criteria, along with others, ensuring that their patients are getting top-level wound management.

“We’re certainly proud to reach this certification,” said The Brentwood Administrator Michael Takesian. Our nurses and physicians work collectively together really hard to make sure patient care is number one. It’s important that we continue to focus in on that. Certainly, it’s about prevention rather than treating the wounds after they’ve started. I think we spend a lot of time looking at how we can prevent them. Once they do occur, or if they come in with pre-established wounds, we’re trying to aggressively treat them and care for them in the best situation we can. And, obviously we’re doing a pretty good job with that. We appreciate the distinction from Vohra.”

Dr. DiLernia said, “Congratulations to The Brentwood on its achievement of the Vohra Center of Excellence Certification. I look forward to continuing to work with their wound team to achieve healing outcomes for our patients.”

The Brentwood becomes the fourth Marquis Health Services facility in Massachusetts to qualify for the honor joining Briarwood, Webster Park and Chestnut Woods.
