Tamarac Rehab Claims Vohra Center of Excellence Certification

(Tamarac, FL)- Tamarac Rehabilitation & Health Center has achieved Vohra Center of Excellence for Wound Management status. A reward the wound care team has been working toward for a couple of years now. Vohra physician Dr. Rizwan Kalwar, MD leads the wound care team at Tamarac.

“I think it’s a great accomplishment,” said Kalwar. “Only about 10% of the facilities we work at achieve this award. So, it’s definitely significant. We’ve grown a lot [as a wound team] over the last couple of years.”

Tamarac Director of Nursing Yvonne Lyn agrees, “We are a fantastic team at Tamarac Rehab. Dr. Kalwar has been a wonderful physician, along with the treatment nurse Diana Macchuca. We appreciate Dr. Kalwar’s work here. Our wounds have been healing and we hope to have a long future engagement for wound care with Vohra.”

Tamarac Administrator Nicola Chandler Byam is proud for her facility to receive the recognition. “It feels fantastic,” says Chandler Byam. “It’s one of the things that we pride ourselves on, the clinical nursing care that we provide to our residents here at Tamarac. Our staff commit 110% to everything that they do, and it shows. It shows in the healing of the wounds and it’s one of the things that we are notorious for and we’re proud of. It’s a team effort. We truly value our working relationship with Vohra Wound Physicians and everything they do for us.”
