Fellowship Program-Leading the Way in Wound Care

At Vohra, we are helping develop the specialty of post-acute wound care.  From bedside wound care, to artificial intelligence based healing predictors, to supporting the latest research, wound care is our sole focus. Of course, what matters most is supporting our physicians to deliver the highest quality wound care in the thousands of skilled nursing facilities we visit every week.

One way we do that is through ongoing training and education. Before starting, every Vohra physician spends at least three weeks shadowing an experienced physician, learning everything from how to lead an onsite wound care team, to how to create PDPM-compliant patient notes. Beginning last year, we extended our training into a new Vohra Fellowship program, and we are proud to congratulate the first graduates.

To succeed as a Fellow, Physicians complete a 12-month, three semester program which advances from wound treatment education all the way to completing an individualized research project. Throughout the process, clinicians are supported and guided by our most tenured current Vohra clinicians.

Current Fellows are enjoying the experience. Dr. Melissa Bray said, “The Vohra Fellowship Program is both inventive and traditional providing opportunities for established and new employees to expand their knowledge of wound care with the guidance of a mentor. The curriculum includes enhancing interpersonal skills, identifying key strategies for improving work performance, and delving into research relevant to wound care. It is exciting and rewarding to be a part of this groundbreaking program as it develops and grows.”

Vohra takes pride in making sure our wound care physicians stay trained and supported throughout their careers through programs like the Vohra Wound Physicians Fellowship Program and others. For nearly two decades our mission has been to optimize clinical outcomes, reduce hospitalizations, deliver high quality, and continue to innovate. Now, with our new Fellowship program growing, we are more excited than ever about our physicians’ ability to deliver great care to the thousands of patients we see every week.  For more information on the Vohra Wound Physicians Fellowship Program or other educational opportunities email info@vohraphysicians.com.
