Brush Hill Care Center Claims Vohra Certification

Brush Hill Care Center in Milton, MA has been certified as a Vohra Center of Excellence for Wound Management. Vohra Physician Dr. Zidoon Nasser, M.D. handed over the certificate recently at the facility.

Brush Hill has met the criteria for certification which includes having a Vohra Certified Nurse and by regularly reviewing wound healing outcomes reports to ensure top quality standards are met.

Brush Hill Director of Nursing Lisa Kilroe says her team is very excited to achieve this honor. “Our partnership with Vohra has been an amazing experience,” said Kilroe. “Their guidance, education and support has been the foundation of our wound program.  We are proud to say we have no acquired wounds and that we heal complex wounds from the community! This wound management program is core to our facility and our practice. Thank you!”

Dr. Nasser has seen successful wound healing outcomes with the residents he treats at Brush Hill, thanks to a team effort. Nasser said, “I’ve been working with Brush Hill for five years. Over that time, we’ve built a very strong program with the Vohra Wound Care Certificated nursing staff. In my opinion, a positive turning point in the team’s development happened when Director of Nursing Lisa Kilroe and Assistant Director of Nursing Chuck Patterson joined the facility and took the lead. Under their guidance, the facility staff members always exceed my expectations with their performance and preparation.”

Kilroe and Patterson learned even more about the Vohra program by attending the National Vohra Wound Care Conference in Miami in April. The nurses attended the educational sessions presented by the Vohra clinical affairs team. “I enjoyed it very much,” Kilroe said. “I would definitely attend again next time.”
